Lost in Love at Stockeld Park
Sunday 7 May 2017
Magic was definitely made yesterday at Stockeld Park when local Leeds lad Nadeem decided to pop the question to his girlfriend Tayyeba at an a-maze-ing location!
The couple visited Stockeld Park, which hosted Brides Up North event ‘WedStock’ on Sunday 7th May. Tayyeba was definitely in the dark but Nadeem had made plans with the Stockeld Team prior to their visit and even though the park was closed to the public the Largest Yew Tree Maze in Yorkshire was made available for Nadeem and Tayyeba.
Whilst they were losing themselves in the place where they had their first date, the Stockeld Park team, exhibitors and photographers from the Wedding Fair were busy setting the scene outside of the Maze so that Nadeem could spring his surprise!
Event’s Manager Darren Smith commented: “We thought we’d only have a few minutes to set up the flower wall, balloons and music so that everything was perfect – as it happens they did managed to get lost in the Maze so we actually had three quarters of an hour!”
When they did eventually emerge Nadeem dropped to one knee and we’re happy to say Tayyeba said ‘Yes’.
Nadeem said “I have been trying to set this whole thing up for some time – contacting the Brides Up North Organiser and Stockeld Park so that everything went smoothly. The only set back was the fact that we were in the Maze a little longer than planned! Thankfully Tayyeba said ‘Yes’ or I would have had to go back in to get lost!’
