Stockeld Park's Nordic Ski Trail

Open from 25th October 2018 – 7th January 2019 for our Halloween and Christmas Adventure seasons our Nordic Ski Trail takes a 1.2km path through the magical illuminated Enchanted Forest.

The nordic ski track is parallel to the forest trail and the journey is breathtakingly beautiful as it meanders past fantastical illuminated sculptures and around the stunning lake, brought to life by colour changing light effects and new for this year, a dancing illuminated fountain plus other mystery surprises –  a stranded mermaid and can it be a real live crocodile?!

Nordic skiing is great fun and some of the best exercise you can do too!

Whether you’re an experienced skier or have never skied before, the gentle trail is designed to give novices an introduction to the sport, using authentic Nordic ski equipment, and because the track is artificial, there is no reliance on the white stuff!

We recommend it for anyone aged 6 and up (although it can be quite tiring for little legs!)

The Nordic Ski trail is part of Stockeld Park’s  Halloween and Christmas Adventure seasons,  where winter fun is at its nostalgic best.
