Big news and a regular dose of magical inspiration for family days out at Stockeld Park!

How We’re Supporting Martin House’s Charitable Work

At Stockeld Park, we believe in spreading magic far and wide, creating unforgettable family experiences. Our vision goes beyond being the most magical day out – it’s also about making a lasting impact, even for those facing the toughest challenges.

In line with this, we’ve partnered with Martin House Children’s Hospice to extend our support to children and young people with life-shortening conditions. For many of these  children, life can feel uncertain, but with the right care, their journey is made a little brighter.

This Hospice Care Week (7-13 October), we’re proud to spotlight the incredible work Martin House does and share how we’ve sprinkled some of Stockeld’s magic in support of its cause.

What Is Martin House?

Martin House is a Yorkshire charity that provides family-led hospice care free of charge for young people and children with life-shortening conditions. Based in Boston Spa, the hospice offers all the support needed for families to spend quality time together.

In addition to providing care at the hospice, Martin House runs support groups, trains care providers and offers families support at home and in hospital. During those most difficult times, Martin House helps bring relief through free, confidential bereavement support.

Every year, Martin House cares for over 550 children, young people and their families. Funding this specialist care can cost around £10.5 million a year, so donations are more needed than ever.

How We’re Helping Martin House

Martin House has been our charity partner since 2022, and we are proud to have raised both awareness and funds during this time. We have provided prizes for their fundraising events, donated money from our magical wishing well to support the hospice’s work and actively supported their fundraising events, including a zipline adventure, boat race and three-peak challenge.

Our visitors can also support Martin House and the families who need it most when they book online, with the opportunity to add a £1.50 donation to their booking. Combined, we’ve proudly raised over £5,500 across the last year.

Along with supporting this charity, we offer free tickets for Martin House families* and sibling support visits. No one should miss out on Stockeld Park

What We Have Planned

Before the year ends, our team will provide a free Christmas tree to the Martin House hospice. Homegrown on our estate, our Christmas trees are known to bring a spark of magic wherever they go!

As we enter into the new year, our team will assist with tree collections in the local area in exchange for a donation to Martin House.

We have a lot planned for the new year, which we’ll share very soon. Keep an eye out for updates on our socials! (Visit our Facebook or Instagram page for regular updates.)
