Summer 2021 opening COVID Update: 19th July 2021

Dear loyal Stockeld friends and guests,

We have strictly followed the government’s guidance throughout the pandemic and are proud to have earned a reputation of being a very safe, clean and welcoming place to visit for families, with endless wonderful feedback from our guests and 5* trip advisor reviews.

You will continue to notice some differences this summer, despite the lifting of restrictions, as the health and safety of our guests remains our priority.

Our team will continue to wear masks when in close proximity of others within closed areas. Perspex screens will remain in guest facing areas and we will continue to operate as a cashless site. All toilets will be open for use with a regular cleaning schedule. Regular cleaning of all play equipment will also remain, as will hand washing and sanitising stations around the park. Our cafe will continue to operate a takeaway only menu, however there will now be indoor seating available for you to use in the Atrium if you wish. We continue to limit our capacity and arrival time slots will remain in place to ensure that there is an even flow of people around the park, reducing queues and congested areas as much as possible.

Face masks for guests are no longer compulsory, but if you choose not to wear one in our indoor areas, please be respectful of others and maintain social distancing as much as possible. We continue to encourage you to social distance in all areas.

Please note, should anything have to change subject to any new Government announcements, we will update you as soon as possible.

We know are lucky to have so much wonderful outdoor space for you to enjoy. Adventures, magic and fun at Stockeld Park are thriving and we are confident that you will feel comfortable and able to enjoy your time with us safely, making plenty of new memories with your family this summer!

Winter opening COVID Update: 11th November 2020

We’d like to thank you for your patience through this challenging time. While we’ve been closed we’ve been caring for the forest, supporting our staff and preparing everything ready for when it is time for you to return…and that time is now!

Dear loyal Stockeld friends and guests,

Having examined the new lockdown regulations in detail and taken Leading Counsel’s expert legal advice, we are delighted to inform you that Stockeld Park will be opening as scheduled from 21^st November.

We are tremendously fortunate to be able to offer green, outdoor space and playgrounds for customers to enjoy safely, providing open-air exercise, enjoyment and relief for grown-ups and children alike.

From 21^st November, our Enchanted Forest, Winter Illuminations, Snowflake Maze and Playgrounds will all be opening.

Our Stockeld-grown Christmas Trees will also go on sale from 26^th November and will be available to all irrespective of whether you have a ticket to visit the Park or not.

Unfortunately, in order to comply with the new regulations and keep you safe, our Grotto, Shop and Café will remain closed until the end of the lockdown period, currently scheduled for 2^ndDecember. Thereafter we plan to reopen the Park in full.

If you have purchased grotto tickets which are affected, we have sent you an email directly.

You will notice some differences as we have adapted the park to the new normal, and we continue to have to limit the amount of guests each day to ensure that we can maintain the necessary social distancing.

Rest assured that we have reviewed everything, from social distancing measures, changes to our activities and enhanced cleaning regimes. We are confident that you will feel comfortable and able to enjoy your time with us safely, and make plenty of new memories with your family.

Here are the details on some of the measures in place to keep us all as safe as possible when Stockeld Park opens for the Halloween and Christmas Adventures:

Firstly, we are pleased to confirm that we have successfully applied for the We’re Good To Go Industry Standard prior to our summer opening, and that Stockeld Park is indeed, good to go! Acquiring the Industry Standard mark means that we have followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, have a Risk Assessment in place and a process to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.

In order to stay in line with Government guidance, as we’re sure you will expect, some facilities such as indoor play, ski and skate won’t be available, as we are unable to safely open these activities while adhering to social distancing measures. We plan to review government guidelines on a regular basis and open additional facilities if and when we can.

Handwashing and sanitising stations have been installed throughout park.

We have enhanced our cleaning processes in all areas, including regular cleaning of all play equipment.

We are no longer accepting cash as a form of payment in order to reduce the risk of spreading the virus.

Toilets will be accessed through a new entrance, which will be manned by one of our team to monitor the number of people indoors at any one time.

All of our team have received specialist training.

Our capacity per day will be limited and guests must pre book, to assist with social distancing. The changes to Stockeld this winter mean a hugely reduced capacity. You may remember the queues and crowds that you’ve seen before in Christmases gone by, and a, sure you will agree that this would not be a safe environment for you and our team. We hope that our reduced capacity means that we can provide you with a much more exclusive experience this winter.

We are lucky to have so much wonderful outdoor space for you to enjoy. The world may be different, but that hasn’t stopped the magic.
