May Half-Term Activities the Whole Family Can Enjoy

May half-term – the first school holiday of the summer term. If you’re like us, you’ll spend every day soaking up the outdoors and enjoying time with your family.

Think of this half-term as a warm-up to the upcoming summer holiday. While it may only be a week in comparison, there’s plenty you can fit in when you’re having fun at Stockeld Park.

When Is the May Half-Term?

May half-term takes place between Monday the 27th to Friday the 31st of May. Most schools will have the same school term dates, but it’s always worth checking with your local council.

Whether you’ve taken the week off or are taking turns caring for your kids, Stockeld Park is a one-stop adventure park to keep your little ones entertained. We’re open daily, so you’ll never miss out if you get caught doing homework projects or movie marathons.

Spring Adventure at Stockeld Park

Between the 27th of May to the 2nd of June, we’re holding a bunch of May half-term activities your whole family will enjoy. You can ride boats, race on go-karts and even meet Alice in Wonderland. Alice isn’t here for long before she falls into another rabbit hole…

Rainy Day Guarantee

When you pre-book online, you’ll receive our rainy day guarantee. If it rains continuously for two hours, we’ll have to close our outdoor inflatables so there are no slips, falls or scraped knees.

Our rainy day guarantee allows you to return on a different day* to use our outdoor park. Just don’t forget to head to our ticket office for a return pass on departure.

How to Spend Your May Half-Term

So, what’s on at Stockeld Park this half-term? Your family can enjoy:

Indoor play area: Let your kids run wild in one of Europe’s largest indoor play centres – Playhive. Safe from bad weather and a must for those with big imaginations. Explore 4 interconnected worlds of fun and slide down our HUGE helter-skelter!
Outdoor playgrounds: Adventure around Woodsands Cove, Tangle Tree Climb, Teepee Encampment, Spider’s Lair or Farmer Foster’s Barnyard. There’s so much to climb, swing and slide from that your kids won’t be bored for a moment.
Alice in Wonderland visit: Head to the Enchanted Forest to meet Alice and her friends. Four different actors will be around for meet-and-greets and exciting activities everyone can join in with.
Outdoor activities: Once you’ve conquered each playground, switch up the pace and have fun on our Buccaneer Boats, pedal go-karts or super-bouncy inflatables.

We’ve partnered with Martin House Children’s Hospice as their media sponsor alongside Your Harrogate Radio for some fantastic charity events. We’re supporting two major events in June: the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge (8th of June) and the Dragon Boat Race (23rd of June).
