Pass through the gates as you enter our magical ancient woodland and be amazed with surprises around every corner.
Hidden inside you'll find wonderful adventure playgrounds, magical houses, animated characters and so much more to see and do. There's almost a mile of outdoor adventure for children and grown-ups alike.
As the seasons change, so does the Enchanted Forest, and you'll always find activities for the whole family to enjoy when you step inside...
Play for hours in our beautiful Yorkshire woodland!
Make camp in our TeePee Encampment, clamber like a monkey in Tangle Tree Climb, explore the Treehouse in Spider's Lair, or set sail at Woodsands Cove! Our adventure playgrounds are spaced throughout the forest and there are 4 large playgrounds to find.
Sprinkled in-between you'll find magical fairy glades, interactive play activities, and smaller playgrounds too, including our giant teapot slide! Slides don't get much more Yorkshire than this.
Make sure you say a big "Hello!" to Russell, our talking tree, he loves to greet new visitors, and creep quietly past Igor as you make your way to our musical garden.
See the Forest change throughout the seasons
Our Forest is the beating heart of Stockeld Park, and plays host to our events which take place throughout the year.
As the seasons change so do the characters you'll find in there; at Easter when the leaves are bursting into bud you'll find an eggstraordinary Easter Egg hunt, in the Spring holidays you might find a character from your favourite story, and in the Summer when the weather's warmer you can set sail on our Buccaneer Boats.
Our Winter Wonderland
Then as the weather turns cooler, and the leaves turn brown, you'll find our Woodland Witches during the October half term. The witches beckon the arrival of our favourite season of all... Winter!
When the leaves start to fall from the trees the Enchanted Forest comes alive with our spectacular Winter Illuminations.

Our Winter Illuminations is one of England’s oldest, largest and most spectacular Christmas light events. Every year our team develop new, spectacular light displays, alongside returning favourites, to keep the magic of Christmas alive.
Our Enchanted Forest becomes an illuminated forest; a winter wonderland of magic, light and sound, filled with thousands of twinkling lights, as well as fairy-tale creatures and enchanting light installations.
At the heart of the forest is a magical, musical light show on the lake, which changes every year. Designed to be a beautiful spectacle it really will take your breath away as the lights and projections dance upon the water.

All Adventure Park tickets include access to the Enchanted Forest, and at Christmas our Gold, Silver and Bronze ticket packages, and Winter Illumination & Skate tickets give full access to the forest too.
We advise booking ahead, particularly at Christmas when tickets do sell-out, to avoid disappointment.
