Our First Retreat: Spofforth Lodge
Our very first property is a beautifully restored gate house nestled in the historic parkland of Stockeld Park. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy some beautiful surroundings. If you're seeking a family fun holiday combined with a peaceful countryside escape and a base for exploring Yorkshire's most beautiful landscapes, Stockeld Stays offers a unique blend of heritage, comfort and excitement!

Go Glamping in our new bell tents
Set within beautiful parkland, our bell tents are ready to welcome you. Each tent is thoughtfully furnished with four real beds, one cosy double and two singles, ideal for families and small groups.
Wake up to fresh country air, spend your day exploring the park, and unwind in the evening under the stars. Whether you're roasting marshmallows, sharing stories around the campsite, or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings, glamping at Stockeld is a memorable escape from the everyday.

Your stay will give you free access to all that Stockeld Park has to offer. With over 40 acres of adventure play to explore, there's plenty to do to entertain the whole family!
Be on the lookout for magical creatures in our Enchanted Forest, explore our adventure playgrounds, get lost in our Magical Maze, go wild on our go-karts and inflatables, or journey through The Playhive filled with 20,000 square foot of indoor adventure playgrounds.Â
And if that isn't enough, there is a full schedule of live entertainment every day of the Summer holidays (from 18th July-6th September) with live singers, bubble shows and a silent disco, see our website for a full itinerary.

Check in and ticket information
The Glamping Site is located on the Stockeld Park estate, just a 5-10 minute walk from the Adventure Park.
Upon arrival, use the entrance as if you're entering the Adventure Park and follow signs for the Glamping Site.
Check in is between 4pm and 8pm, with check out at 11am. When you arrive, please go to the the camp office to check in.
Included in your booking is fixed Playhive and Adventure Park tickets for the duration of your stay. These give you access to all our park activities (excluding add on activities) and a 90 minute session in our indoor play centre, the Playhive.
You'll receive late entry tickets (from 2pm) for your check in day and all day entry (from 9.30am) tickets thereafter for the duration of your stay, so you have plenty of time to explore everything the park has to offer!

What do I need to bring Glamping?
We'd recommend bringing along:
- Towels
- Toiletries
- Warm and weather appropriate clothes
- Food if you'd like to cook (some basic items are available at the camp shop or you can order pizzas to site if you don't fancy cooking)
- Torches
- Camp chairs for additional seating
- Bed linen (or hire some for an additional charge)
What your tent includes:
- 1 x 5m diameter bell tent complete with awning entrance
- 1 x double bed, mattress, duvet, pillows (linen is not provided as standard but can be provided for an additional supplement)
- 2 x single bed, mattress, duvet, pillow (linen is not provided as standard but can be provided for an additional supplement)
- 4 x blankets
- 1 x outdoor picnic table to seat 6
- 1 x rechargeable pole mounted light
- 1 x USB charging pod
Beyond the park
Stockeld is the perfect base for exploring our local area including Harrogate, Leeds, York, and Wetherby. Situated close to the A1 and local access roads we're also in the ideal spot for exploring the Yorkshire region.

With walks in nature on your doorstep, you're immersed in greenery at both Spofforth Lodge and Stockeld Glamping.
There are plenty of dining options available in the local area; within a mile of the site you have The Scotts Arms pub and restaurant in Sicklinghall, and The Castle Inn in Spofforth, both offering freshly prepared dishes every day.
In addition plenty of restaurants, cafes, and takeaways are located in Wetherby (2 miles away) and Harrogate (5 miles away) with menus to suit the whole family.
