Top Activities to Do at Stockeld Park Before School Starts

26th Aug 2024

Only a week remains until the new school year kicks off – soon, children will be back learning, and you’ll have a life outside of your kids again (or maybe not). Strict bedtimes, homework sessions, extracurricular activities, school picks up – you name it. Every routine will be back to normal.

Although the days are slipping by, now’s not the time to slow down. Instead, you should make the most of your remaining summer break so your kids can start the new term raring to go.

Keep reading to discover what’s on at Stockeld Park and how we can make your last week count.

Don’t Miss Out on the Summer Adventure!

Our Summer Adventure extravaganza is open for last-minute bookings and impromptu family days out all summer long until September 2nd (2024). If you haven’t yet visited, this is your chance to enjoy Stockeld Park in all its glory.

Here’s what’s on until the 2nd of September:

  • Live entertainment – Tribute acts and local artists will still perform daily on the main stage at 1pm. You’ll hear cover songs from Taylor Swift, Harry Styles and Maroon Five, along with other hits that’ll get you up and dancing! View our schedule for a breakdown of each act
  • Silent DJs and dance parties – Love to boogie? Dancing is great for staying active and is nonstop in our adventure park.
  • Craft zone – Let your kids channel their creativity in our indoor craft area, where artists come alive.
  • Family game shows – Participate in our exciting game shows and see if you and your kids can outsmart the game master. You never know; your kid might be a genius!
  • Scout the Squirrel adventures – Watch our nutty mascot, Scout the Squirrel, play his best tricks in the main field before heading off for a well-deserved rest. (Don’t worry – this squirrel won’t be away long!)
  • BBQ and picnic lunchtime treats – A great summer day out deserves a tasty lunch to go with it. We’ll have BBQs and pre-ordered picnics available if you want something different.

We’ll also have our other family-friendly activities ongoing, like the inflatables, Magic Maze and tractor run. Don’t forget to board the Flying Stocksman, our brand-new train ride!

There’s so much to pack in one day – so why not visit again? Your child’s last bit of freedom need some Stockeld magic!

What Adventure Awaits Next?

As summer comes to a close, we’ll return to weekend-only operating hours and close some outdoor activities as the weather changes. Entry to the Buccaneer Boats, pedal go-karts and outdoor inflatables will end on September 15th and reopen in Spring next year.

While the wait seems long, something HUGE is coming in the meantime… the Halloween Adventure! Your little ghouls and goblins will have loads of spooktacular activities to sink their teeth into. (It’s never too early for Halloween puns, right?).
