What’s Down the Rabbit Hole? – Alice in Wonderland Experience

Are you mad as a hatter? Or as curious as Alice? You might just be both! Rekindle your childhood imagination and fall down the rabbit hole in Stockeld Park

This month, we’re calling all adventures – young and old – to participate in exciting outdoor activities with some extraordinary characters from Alice in Wonderland

What’s on during the May Half-term?

Between the 27th of May to the 2nd of June, we’re holding our annual Spring Adventure. There will be go-karts, inflatables, boat rides and a huge indoor play area.

But that’s not all… Alice in Wonderland is coming to the Enchanted Forest! Four characters from the novel, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, will be stationed across the forest with different activities everyone can enjoy. You’ll have plenty of activities for the May half-term!

Alice in Wonderland Forest Trail

Wander into the Enchanted Forest to start your magical trail. But beware—this topsy-turvy adventure has a few rules here and there! You’ll journey through four stations, each with clocks to remind the White Rabbit of all his very important dates.

The White Rabbit won’t be there to say hello – he’s very late, so he needs your help! Grab a pen and some paper and be ready to write down his schedule of dates.

Let’s dive into what lies ahead in our forest trail.

Beat the Queen of Hearts at Croquet

Ready to face the Queen in a game of croquet? The Queen of Hearts will be waiting for your arrival. She’s bashful, brute and only has one rule – if you lose, it’s off with your heads!

Limber up because you’re in for a game. Are you brave enough to beat the Queen?

Bring Back the Cheshire Cat’s Smile

The mischievous and mysterious Cheshire Cat is feeling glum and not in the mood to smile. Your job is to bring back his hypnotic smile before he disappears from your sight.

We’ll have an interactive ‘pin the grin’ game so your kids can try to get the Cheshire Cat smiling again.

Enjoy Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea

Who doesn’t love a cup of tea?! (Even if it’s imaginary!)

The Mad Hatter has organised a make-believe afternoon tea to celebrate another merry unbirthday. He wants you to be his next guest of honour!

Play Cards with Ace of Spades

You’ve nearly finished our forest trail. To complete it, you need to win a card game with the Ace of Spades.

Put on your thinking caps for this one—the Ace of Spades is an expert at cards and will test your skills.

Tackle the Labyrinth Maze

Enter the labyrinth maze but take caution – the Queen of Heart’s guards will be hiding there. If you hear marching, start running, or you’ll be in for a fright.

Don’t get caught because the Queen will know, so pick up your feet before your head is on the chopping block!

Head to the Playhive Pizzeria or Woodland’s Cafe for treats that scream ‘Eat me!’ and ‘Drink me!’. Enjoy pizza, light bites and hot or cold drinks whenever you need to refuel – because it’s always tea-time in Wonderland.
