What to expect in our Woodland Witch Hunt

Are you ready for a bewitching adventure this Halloween? Stockeld Park’s Halloween Adventure is every October weekend, and then for the whole of October half term (ending 3rd of November, 2024).
After arriving, you’ll find yourself under our wicked spell all day. If you feel drawn to the Enchanted Forest, fear not: it’s exactly as we intended!
What's in the Enchanted Forest?
Our forest is enchanted for a reason. Throughout the year, it changes shape. During summer, Scout the Squirrel takes over, and in winter, Santa Claus arrives with all his magical winter illuminations.
When we move into autumn, something wicked happens… trees start talking, ogres come out to play, and a massive spider lures onlookers into its lair. But that’s nothing compared to the woodland witches that take over!
Between 10am and 4:30pm, the infamous Salem Sisters will be lurking in the Enchanted Forest. Will you help us hunt them down?
What happens in the Woodland Witch hunt?
Every adventurer must play four frightful games to gather information from the woodland witches. You and your kids will take part in:
🐸 Toad in the Hole
🦉 The Scrying Owl
🐱 Stick the Hat on the Cat
🐌 Snail Surprise
Want to know what’s involved in every game? You’ll have to visit the Woodland Witches to find out! Once you’ve gone through every game, head to the Playhive Pizzeria or Woodland Café for a well-deserved witches’ feast!
Halloween Adventure Activity List
We have plenty of Halloween activities for your kids throughout October:
🎃 Pumpkin picking patch: Pick the perfect pumpkin to scare off trick-or-treaters when Halloween comes around. Every child on the ‘Child Halloween Adventure Park & Playhive’ ticket gets a free pumpkin!
🎭 The Monster Masquerade Ball*: Enjoy an hour of craft and bewitching entertainment at the Stockeld Theatre. Dress your spookiest- you might just win our fancy dress contest!
🧙♂️ Magical Maze: Venture through the Magical Maze as you hunt down 20 potion pots, perfect for brewing potions and casting spells.
🧟♀️ Zombie laser tag*: Grab your laser guns and compete in our fun-filled zombie laser experience. Who will be the winner? Join us to find out!
🌲 Outdoor playgrounds: Burn off energy at five playgrounds in and around the Enchanted Forest. We recommend the Spider’s Lair, but be warned: It’s a fright!
🚀 Indoor play area: The Playhive will be open all day for your little ones to play inside should the weather get bad. Available for Playtime anytime or fixed ticket holders.
