The Snowflake Maze

Be amazed and befuddled by our giant yew tree maze, filled with surprises at every turn.

There are over 2 miles of paths in this 8-foot-high labyrinth, designed by maze genius Adrian Fisher.

Discover playful surprises

Climb the castle viewing tower to look out over the tops of the trees to find your friends and get your bearings or cross bridges and discover playful surprises, musical instruments and some unexpected obstacles!

It’s the largest evergreen maze in Yorkshire and the 2000 yew trees used to make it were grown right here on the estate at Stockeld Park!  At the heart of the maze is a unique sculpture, a revolving stainless-steel globe, designed by a Yorkshire schoolgirl who entered our children’s sculpture competition.

What’s more, you can visit us for The Christmas Adventure when we illuminate the Maze with a thousand twinkling lights, making it a unique and magical experience and the only illuminated maze in Yorkshire.

*Included in Day Passes during the February, Easter, Spring, and Summer Adventures, daytime Forest & Maze tickets during Halloween and included in all our new Christmas package tickets during our Christmas Adventure season.
