How to Make the Most of a Family Day Out at Stockeld Park

17th Apr 2025

Join Us for a Day of Family Fun Adventure!

Just like the old saying goes, the early bird gets the worm, and there's no better way to make the most out of your family days than starting bright and early! So, why not bring that same eager energy to your next adventure?

Stockeld Park opens its gates at 9:30am every weekend and daily during school holidays,  giving you the perfect head start. In this blog, we’ll plan your day to ensure you get the full Stockeld Park experience.

Spending a Day at Stockeld Park - A Step-by-Step Guide

1. Pre-book Your Tickets

Our park is a popular family attraction, and we welcome thousands of visitors every year, so it’s best to book your tickets online or risk missing out. If you find yourself in a pinch, there are limited tickets available at the door*.

For a full day out, get an All Day Entry Playhive and Adventure Park ticket. You can either have a 90-minute booked slot to use the Playhive or have unlimited access with our flexible ticket option.

*Tickets can sell out quickly, especially during the school holidays. To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking your tickets in advance.

2. Grab a Map

Once you’ve booked a date, make your way to Stockeld Park. With an all-day ticket, you can come as early as 9:30am. Our friendly team will provide you with a park map so you can find everything.

We have worked hard to make the park accessible for guests with disabilities so everyone has the freedom to play and have fun. Just follow the main walkways, and you’ll be at the next activity in no time.

3. Head to the Enchanted Forest

The best place to start your adventure is the Enchanted Forest. This forest trail is just under a mile long and has plenty of outdoor playgrounds, role-play areas and animated characters to meet.

Our Enchanted Forest tour takes you through all the activities on offer, so make sure you note down where you’ll find everything.

4. Keep the Fun Going

The adventure doesn’t end when you leave the Enchanted Forest - we have even more fun waiting! First, head to Farmer Foster's Barnyard, where your little ones can climb, crawl through tunnels and roll down hills. Our Magical Maze and outdoor inflatables are also a few steps away if you’re looking for a challenge!

Depending on your ticket choice, you’ll also need to make time for the Playhive, which is located in our parkland meadow. The Playhive is one of Europe’s largest indoor play areas, so you best believe your kids won’t get bored.

5. Have Lunch

By now, you’ve all worked up a hunger, so it’s time to fuel up before you start again. You can choose from the Playhive Pizzeria and Woodland Cafe for a hearty lunch or just a light bite.

You can also get refreshments, like hot chocolate and ice cream, in our tuck shops or at Gretel’s Cabin in the Enchanted Forest.

6. Explore Stocked Park by Train, Boat & Go-kart

While your food digests, take it easy with a ride on the Flying Stocksman or sail across our calming lake on a Buccaneer Boat. After, jump on a go-kart and make one final trip around the Enchanted Forest before heading off!
