Step into Storybook magic this May half-term!
From the 23rd to the 31st of May, Stockeld will come alive with the magic of storytelling. Embark on our Storybook Spring Trail where you'll meet live-action fairytale characters who'll feature in your fable. As you meet these whimsical characters, you'll decide how their story unfolds as you become the author of your very own tale.
The fun continues in the Magical Maze, where riddles inspired by beloved storybook characters are waiting to be solved. Don't forget to explore the rest of the park for epic outdoor activities, adventure playgrounds and indoor play at the Playhive!
Storybook Spring Trail
Start your storytelling adventure in the Enchanted Forest, where you'll meet storybook characters brought to life by actors.
This spring, you'll decide who they are in your very own fable. Is our Archer Princess the hero of your tale, or is there more to her than meets the eye? Is the Raven Witch a wise protector or a dangerous enchantress? Each decision is yours to make.
Use your Trail Book to name each character, answer questions and sketch your encounters, gathering ideas for your story. Once your forest journey is completer, craft your story at the Story Creation Station in the Stockeld Theatre or take it home to finish.

The characters will be in the Enchanted Forest from 10.30am until 4.30pm daily. See the whole cast on the Forecourt at 4.45pm for group photos!
Riddles in the Maze
Storybook magic can also be found in the Maze this spring.
Explore the twists and turns of our sprawling maze to discover riddles themed around your favourite storybook characters.
Only the bravest storytellers will be able to find their way out of the maze and solve all the riddles.. are you up to the challenge?
