Remember the magic of Christmas morning? Waking up too early, your heart racing as you head to the Christmas tree, or the excitement of sending your wish list to Santa. Those moments felt like pure magic, didn’t they? 

At our Santa’s Grotto, we help recreate that same wonder so your little ones can enjoy the traditions that filled your own childhood with joy. Find out how we can make your Christmas one to remember with our Santa Experience​​.

Step Into Santa’s Grotto at Stockeld Park

On the 16th of November, Mr. and Mrs Claus arrived in Stockeld Park, spreading Christmas joy before they retreated to their grotto for a well-needed rest. But that doesn’t mean he’s not open to guests! Santa welcomes every child to visit, so prepare your wish list before he heads off on Christmas Eve! 

Our elves have been hard at work crafting an enchanting interactive dome where your family can play and take shelter whilst waiting to see Santa.

As you enter, you’ll walk through a charming street that looks straight out of a storybook. Enjoy the buzz of Santa’s hometown as you peer into shop windows and greet some of his furry friends. 

Be sure to visit Mrs. Claus' kitchen and see what treats she’s whipping up for Santa - just don’t sneak one, or you’ll land on the naughty list! Fun awaits around every corner, keeping the kids eager to reach our elf checkpoint.

Our hard-working elves have made Santa’s lists and will check them twice to find out who's naughty or nice! You’ll then take our enchanting elevator ride to Santa’s secret grotto. 

As the doors close behind you, the lift comes alive with festive music and sparkling lights, creating an unforgettable Christmas experience. Once you meet Santa, you’ll have plenty of time to ask questions, share your wish list and get photos you’ll treasure for years to come. 

What’s Next? 

Once you’ve met Santa, carry on the festivities with some (or all!) of our enchanting Christmas activities: 

• Snowflake Maze: Explore Yorkshire’s largest evergreen maze, lit with thousands of twinkling lights and discover hidden musical surprises.

• Winter Illuminations: Experience a dazzling winter wonderland after dusk, featuring animated installations and over a mile of enchanting paths. Don’t forget to head to our marshmallow-toasting area for a delicious treat or two!

• Ice Skating: Glide across our covered ice skating rink as you take in spectacular views of our festive parkland. Perfect for young and old, expert or novice. 

• Festive Train Ride: Jump on the Flying Stocksman and ride through our beautiful Enchanted Forest as you listen to festive hits and reminisce about all the fun you’ve had so far.
• A Toy’s Story Performance: Enjoy our heartwarming, child-friendly show about Tinsel the Elf, who’ll help you become the next honorary elf!
