Start the New Year With Magical Winter Weekends at Stockeld

Our Winter Weekends are the antidote to the long, cold, dark days of January. It’s tempting to hibernate away, but kids and staying indoors just don't mix! Our fantastic activities will blow the cobwebs away, get the blood pumping and make little imaginations run wild. 

Available every weekend until the 22nd of March, Stockeld Park is here to save you from winter boredom. 

So grab the kids, some warm clothes and a camera, we’re going on an adventure!

The Enchanted Forest

A magical woodland that combines play and adventure with beautiful nature, The Enchanted Forest is the perfect place to take the kids for a winter walk. It boasts five big adventure playgrounds plus a number of smaller play areas to get them moving and fuelling their creativity.

The Magical Maze

Getting lost in a maze is one of life’s greatest pleasures, and our yew tree hedges have surprises around every corner. With nearly two miles of maze to explore, you and the kids can cross bridges, play musical instruments and run riot through the labyrinth of hedges! It’s a must-do with the kids.

The Playhive

If it’s a little too blustery outside, then we have an incredible indoor playground to spark little imaginations. With four different areas spanning jungle, space, sea and air, there’s everything from tunnel slides and climbing walls to giant planes and UFOs to play on.

Ice Skating

The ice rink is open until the 22nd of February 2026, so there’s bags of time to enjoy swooshing and gliding on the ice. Ice skating is great fun for the whole family, and good for you too! Bonus - it’s covered over, so even if the weather is wet and windy, you can still enjoy some fun on the ice rink.

Ice skating memberships are available over this period, giving you unlimited access to the ice rink, eateries and gift shop - perfect for ice-obsessed kids.

February Fun

During the February half term holidays, we’re open during the week too! So if you’re entertaining kids, there are extra activities like a fairytale musical and an Enchanted Forest takeover by the heroes and villains.

Winter Memberships

Our Winter Membership gives you access to the Enchanted Forest, Maze, playgrounds and Playhive (for a 90-minute slot) every weekend in winter, from the 1st of January to the 22nd of March 2026, for a one-off fee.
