Winter Weekends: Your Antidote to Cold-Weather Boredom

Running out of ideas to keep the kids entertained on those cold and wet days? You’re in luck. Our winter membership has just launched!

At Stockeld Park, winter is a magical time to visit. We’ve got something for everyone to enjoy, whether that’s walking through the Enchanted Forest, playing in our indoor adventure playground or grabbing a cosy hot chocolate to warm yourself up with.

Adventures You Won’t Want to Miss

Enchanted Forest

Our woodland walk takes on all the beauty of the season, allowing parents to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature as the kids race to the next play area. Think climbing, zipping, sailing pirate ships and much more with our five large themed adventure playgrounds. 

Playhive

If the cold and the rain are really getting you down, then the Playhive is here to save the day. It’s a huge indoor playground where kids can adventure through the worlds of space, air, sea and jungle, perfect for sparking imaginations. 

We recommend pre-booking the Playhive as it’s only available for 90 minutes at a time. 

Magical Maze

Our giant yew tree maze is fun to get lost in, whatever the weather! It’s Yorkshire's largest evergreen maze, filled with secret objects at every turn. There are bridges to cross, turrets to climb, musical instruments to play and much more. 

Ice Skating Rink

Whether you’re practically a professional ice-skater or you’ve never even been on the ice before, ice skating is a classic winter activity that everyone should try at least once. Our ice rink is covered, making it ideal when the weather isn’t playing ball. Ice skating is also really good for you, with benefits for your brain and your body.

The ice rink is open until the 22nd of February. If you just want to skate, then check out our ice skating membership for unlimited time on the ice all winter!

February Fun

During the February half term, we’re open all week for fun-filled days! As well as all the above adventures, there’s also a fantastic show to go and watch. Perfect for entertaining the kids, and with your winter membership, you can go all week! 

Food & Drink

We’ve made sure that the park is as cosy and comfortable as can be with two different eateries, plus plenty of rest stops throughout the adventure trails. We’re talking about everything from hot, cheesy pizzas and hearty jacket potatoes to flaky sausage rolls and seasonal snacks.
