In this guide, we’ll cover everything you need to know for your visit, including opening times, food options and how to make the most of your day.
When Is The Best Time To Visit Stockeld Park?
All year round! There’s no ‘right’ time to visit Stockeld Park, there’s always something on for the family. Each season brings its own special events, from summer activities outdoors to magical winter experiences.
What Are Stockeld Park’s Opening Times?
Our opening hours vary throughout the year, depending on the season and what’s on.* It’s always best to check our website for our opening times, as they can change!
Weekend Hours
Winter: 9:30am-4:30pm
Spring: 9:30am-5:30pm
Summer: 9:30am-6:00pm
Autumn: 9:30am-5:30pm
School Holidays & Bank Holidays
During the school holidays, we’re open 7 days a week, making it easy to plan a family day out. We’re also open every bank holiday (except Christmas Day and Boxing Day), perfect for making the most of a long weekend!
Illuminations & Christmas
When our family favourite Winter Illuminations launch in November, we’re open 3pm-9pm on weekdays and 10am-9pm on weekends, giving you plenty of time to explore the magic of the park after dark.
Throughout December, we’re open every day from 10am-9pm, with a slightly earlier closing at 7pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. This means there are lots of opportunities to visit Santa’s Grotto and make the most of the festive season!
*The park will close for 2 weeks in September to allow us to prepare for Halloween, and 2 weeks in November to transform the park for Christmas, but trust us, it’s worth the wait!
How Long Do You Need at Stockeld Park?
Plan for a full day out so you don’t miss anything! There’s so much on offer at Stockeld Park that you won’t want to rush.
Our Enchanted Forest is under a mile long, with various themed playgrounds dotted along the way, perfect for little adventurers to climb, explore and enjoy. The Magical Maze is another must-do highlight, and how long you spend there depends on how quickly you can find your way out!
If you choose to book our indoor play area, the Playhive, sessions last 90 minutes, giving children plenty of time to burn off energy, whatever the weather.
On top of that, we offer a range of seasonal activities all year round. In spring and summer, enjoy our Buccaneer Boats, Pedal Go-Karts and Giant Inflatables, while winter brings Ice-Skating and our magical Illuminations.
Can I Bring Food and Drink To Stockeld Park?
Feel free to bring your own picnic! We have plenty of outdoor seating and picnic benches where you can stop, sit down and enjoy your food amongst the scenery of our park.
If you’d like a tasty treat or a hot meal, our catering outlets, including the Playhive Pizzeria, Woodland Cafe and Gretel’s Cabin, offer a delicious selection of food and drinks. Outside food or drink can’t be eaten inside these outlets, so tuck in at one of our picnic spots if you’ve brought your own!
