Accessibility at Stockeld Park: Updates to Concessions
9th Apr 2026
We’re delighted to share some exciting news! We’ve partnered with Nimbus Disability to reintroduce free entry for Essential Companions through their Access Card Scheme!
In this blog, we cover the essential things you need to know about the Nimbus Access Card Scheme, how to book concession tickets and the accessibility support available here at Stockeld Park.
Updates to Concessions For Disabled Guests
We’ve made several improvements to our accessibility offering and concessions for disabled guests, all shaped by your feedback. If you have a Nimbus Access Card, your Essential Companions can join you for free.
Step 1: If you don’t already have an Access Card, our partners at Nimbus can process a free application for a Stockeld Digital Access Pass (DAP) for you.
You can upgrade to an Access Card if you wish when applying for your Digital Access Pass.
Step 2: Book your Essential Companion tickets online, alongside your park entry tickets, using your Digital Access Pass or Access Card.
How To Book Your Essential Companion Entry
You can book a free Essential Companion entry to Stockeld Park if you have:
Your card must display a +1 or +2 Essential Companion symbol to qualify.
Book your tickets online ahead of your visit, and make sure to bring your card to show to our team when collecting your wristbands on entry.
Accessibility Across Our Adventure Park
We’ve worked hard to make Stockeld Park welcoming, inclusive and accessible for everyone so every guest can enjoy their day. Here are just a few of the ways we’ve done this:
Wheelchair Access
Most of our park is accessible for wheelchair users, including:
-
Enchanted Forest: Walkways throughout the Enchanted Forest are tarmacked, making it super easy for wheelchair users to explore the enchanting trail.
-
Magical Maze: Our Magical Maze is fully tarmacked too! While there are some bridges and steps, we’ve provided alternative routes for wheelchair users, so everyone can enjoy exploring the maze together.
-
Ice rink: During the winter months, guests in wheelchairs are welcome to enjoy the ice rink! You’ll need a competent skater to push you and to make sure that the motorised functionality is off for safety.
-
Indoor buildings: You’ll find that all our indoor spaces, such as the shop, theatre, Santa’s Grotto and our cafes have been built with wheelchair users in mind. Plus, accessible toilets are available in the Playhive building and Stockeld Theatre.
Playhive Accessibility
The Playhive is a big, busy indoor play area, which we know can often feel overwhelming for some guests. Our goal is to make sure everyone has a fantastic time, so we encourage parents and companions to check which areas have loud noises and flashing lights before attending. We also have some areas in the Playhive that are naturally calmer and quieter than others, which you can explore in the interactive SEN map on our accessibility page.
Assistance
We have several disabled parking bays located near the ticket office, and at peak times, we have a carpark team on hand to help direct you to additional accessible parking.
While we don’t provide priority access for activities, our team is always happy to work with you to find the best approach to meet your needs. We want to make sure your visit is as enjoyable and easy as possible!
